READ WHAT THE CRITICS & AUTHORS ARE SAYING
“A fast paced mystery with more than enough twists and turns to keep you turning
the page!” Grace Edwards, author of the Mali Anderson mysteries.
"Worker writer and mystery novelist Tim Sheard’s new book is out and it is a great
read. SLIM TO NONE is the fourth in the series (and I think, perhaps, the best)
featuring Lenny Moss, the hospital janitor and steward who defends his co-workers
against unfair treatment by management and works to solve the murders which may
send them (and him) to jail. The book is the handsome first effort in Sheard’s new
publishing house, Hard Ball Books."

:
I know it’s unusual for me to tell you about any other books other than those written
by tradeswomen. But for those of you who love to read mysteries and can’t find any
good working class ones…especially featuring REAL working class characters AND
men who aren’t sexist or racist or homophobic and happen to be a union steward!
The book I’m going to tell you about is the 4th in a series by a good friend of mine,
Tim Sheard. I have steered away from male mystery authors all together because of
the treatment of female characters…but Lenny Moss, the union steward hero of
these books is someone I would have loved to have been able to work beside at the
Milwaukee Road Railroad or Allis Chalmers tractor plant back in the 70’s and 80’s!
